UPDATE: Sept. 27, 2016, 9:05 a.m. ET Trump told Fox & Friends that he was not suffering from "sniffles" during Monday's presidential debate. "No, no sniffles. You know, the mic was very bad, but maybe it was good enough to hear breathing," Trump said. "But no sniffles. No cold."

One of the main talking points of the first presidential debate was... Donald Trump's sinuses - yes, you heard it right.

After the debate, Trump tried to lay the blame to a "defective mic."

During a visit to the media spin room, he commented on moderator Lester Holt, saying he "was fine."

"And they also gave me a defective mic," he added. "Did you notice that? My mic was defective within the room."

"I wonder. Was that on purpose? Was that on purpose? I had a mic that wasn't working properly..."

The plot thickens...
